La Porte Dogon, african art gallery, online sales site of Essentiel Galerie
La Porte Dogon gallery online since December 11, 1999 was founded by an enthusiast of Africa and its arts. A family link over three generations in Central Africa has allowed it to forge deep and unique links with the African people.
It all started in 1982 with the family heritage of several collections of African art, and a professional life that led him to travel across Africa, from North to South, and from East to West.
These many trips allowed him to refine his taste for this particular art, allowed him to make many meetings giving him the opportunity to collect many selected pieces. The intention is not to collect objects with only aesthetic aim (objects that could come from crafts), but to offer you authentic objects worthy of the largest collections and museums.
Each piece proposed is the subject of special attention. Thus, from its selection until its acquisition, a link is established with its owner, which allows us to know the unique "history" of each object harvested "in situ", sometimes in the most remote villages of the Deep Africa. In parallel with the harvest in the field, the collections include pieces acquired from private collectors (many in Belgium), also animated by the same passion for authenticity. Thus vis-à-vis our customers, the personal and unique link remains privileged. We do not hesitate to accompany, guide and guide from the acquisition of a single piece to the constitution of a collection.
Our gallery welcomes you from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 18:00 and Sunday by appointment in Tertre, in the center of the Paris-Brussels-London axis.
