It is indeed in the north of the Benue that several ethnic groups produce highly stylized masks worn horizontally. Pinkish ochre granular patina. Desiccation cracks. This mask, whose horns symbolize fertility, is therefore danced during festivals related to agricultural fertility and sometimes human fertility.
