The different types of Luluwa, Lulua, or even Béna Lulua statues, with multiple scarifications, glorify local chiefs, motherhood, fertility and the female figure. This sculpture exalting the chief is dedicated to the cult buanga bua bukalenge. The prominent abdomen, center of the body and "object of all concern" (The Power of the Sacred, M.Faïk-Nzuji)and the face, are dotted with scarified motifs. Dark patina with gray reflections.
